An aside
[Speaking of danger, I've gotten lots of flack from my doctor and vet friends for trying the Ketamine without a doctor's prescription (Ketamine is most used by vets), particularly because of the blook pressure issue I am having. Very risky, they said, wagging their fingers at me. You don't know what you are doing. But was the risk particularly large? Did I not know what I was doing?
Thanks to the internet, it WAS possible to pull up information on reports about clinical tests about using Ketamine for depression (favourable). It WAS possible to find out dosages for Ketamine. It WAS possible to find out the specific risks associated with Ketamine. It WAS possible to find out what kinds of people took Ketamine and generally what the probability of the specific risks occuring were.
In short, I could find out an awful lot about Ketamine, and I could make an educated guess about the risks associated with it. And since I am not a complete idiot, and since I have the happy happenstance that my moods react to much smaller doses than is considered therapeutic, I decided to try an amount equal to 1/2 the standard minimum dose.
It's not clear how my choices on medication are more dangerous than what the psychiatrists prescribe. Especially since my two worst reactions to medicines happened with drugs prescribed by psychiatrists.]
